It’s been a big week in the world of attachable LCD camera monitors. Fresh off the news of SmallHD announcing a new line of FOCUS Bolt monitors, RED has unveiled its own “Ultra-Brite” 7” LCD monitor to partner with its line of DSMC2 cinema cameras.
This RED DSMC2 Touch 7.0” Ultra-Brite LCD Monitor promises to be one of brightest LCDs on the market with 2,200 nits of brightness at 1920×1200 resolution to provide clear viewing in even the brightest of conditions.

As seen the introductory video above, the Touch 7.0” Ultra-Brite boasts a high pixel density at 323 ppip and a 1200:1 contrast ratio along with a “robust, optically-bonded touchscreen with Gorilla® Glass that provides the most intuitive way to navigate menus, adjust camera parameters, and review.”
This new LCD is built to mount directly to RED’s DSMC2 BRAIN or other 1/4-20 mounting surfaces with a LEMO connection to connect to your camera ideal for gimbals, cranes and cabled remote viewing.
